The volcano Nevado del Huila in Colombia in the south west erupts gas and ash:



The summit of the Nevado del Huila is the highest of the Central Cordillera of the Andes in Colombia, with 5364 meters over sea level. In June 1994, an avalanche of the Paez river after the reactivation of the volcano killed about 1,100 Indians who lived in coastal villages.
