Pakistan to evacuate half a million people in the south by new floods. More than five weeks after its inception, the worst floods in Pakistan's history continue to cause havoc among the population having left over 1,700 dead and affected 18 million from the mountainous north to the Arabian Sea, passing through the central plains. "There are thousands of people who do not even have a tent to sleep, they are living in the open. We must reach these people, we need to do so urgently," Kamal recalled.
