President Barack Obama says that "most urgent task is to restore" the U.S. economy:



In that sense, the president said that for the sake of strengthening the middle class, part of their responsibility is to ensure that all children have the education they deserve and that American workers have the skills necessary to compete in the global economy. He pointed to the need to spur industries that create jobs, end U.S. dependence on foreign oil and encourage innovation that increases in domestic production.
