Hurricane Earl causes damage to trade in the U.S., one dead in Canada:



Hurricane Earl spent Friday night on the waters of New England with tropical storm with winds of 112 kilometers (70 miles) per hour after passing through the North Carolina coast, where it caused flooding and little damage but no casualties . The rain that fell upon Cape Cod, Nantucket Island and Martha's Vineyard was not heavier than usual for the season.
