A Mexican family killed in Santa Barbara California:
Apparently the truck brakes failed while traveling on State Road 154, which crossed two intersections, collided with two parked cars and finally rammed home. The collision "completely demolished" housing, said fire Capt. Santa Barbara County, David Sadecki. The truck's driver, Joaquin Garcia Morales, had to load gravel in a nearby quarry. Eyewitnesses said they saw smoke coming from the underside of the truck when it slid downhill on the road 154-89 kph (50 mph), the agent said the California Highway Patrol Jeremy Wayland.
