Joe García is a lawyer with the age of 46 years, who until May was director of the Office of Economic Impact of the Department of Energy, expressed his happiness to prevail at the polls to fellow Democrat Luis Meurice. Garcia won the 77.42 percent (6.074 votes) and Meurice managed only 22.58 percent (1.772 votes).
