The Galeras volcano eruption in Colombia:
Eruption was the second so far this year in Galeras, located in the department of Nariño and about 530 miles southwest of Bogota, said in a telephone interview Calvache. The first occurred on 2 January.In 2009, the Galeras recorded at least 10 eruptions, Calvache said. "But since January (2010) had been quietly" the volcano.
